Obituaries

Mrs. Ruby Rash Hall, wife of Roy Hall, building contractor, died at their home, 616 E. Broadway at 3:30 Sunday of burns suffered while cleaning the bathroom with gasoline. W. H. Funderburk, pastor of the First Christian Church to officiate the funeral. Pallbearers - Albert Galloway, Herbert Morgan, J. H. Vannoy, F. M. Taliaferro, James D. Overall, Thomas H. Cansler. Mrs. Hall ran to the nearby home of her brother-in-law, R. E. Moore, with her clothing ablaze. Mr. Moore burned his hands when he and Mrs. Moore tried to help her. Moore's son, Norvelle, snatched a rug from the floor and he and neighbor Albert Galloway smothered the flames with the rug. Dr. F. P. Strother gave medical care. She was the dau. of M/M J. W. Rash, 133 N. Kentucky, and niece of Judge Ruby Laffoon. Born 8/9/1887 in Madisonville, married Mr. Hall 1/5/1910.
